Konferenz "Textiles from the Nile Valley" (25.-27.10.2019) in Antwerpen

Auch in diesem Jahr wird wieder die Konferenz "Textiles from The Nile Valley" von Freitag, den 25.10 bis Sonntag, den 27.10.2019 im Katoen Natie HeadquARTer (Van Aerdtstraat 33, 2060) in Antwerpen stattfinden. Im Fokus werden hierbei vor allem die Endeckung sowie die ersten Sammler und Händler von Textilien des ersten Jahrhunderts nach Christus aus Ägypten stehen. Zusätzlich werden auch individuelle Forschungsprojekte über Textilien aus Ägypten und seinen Nachbarländern Thema der Konferenz sein. Eine Teilnahmegebühr wird nicht erhoben. The biennial conference “Textiles from the Nile Valley” will take place again this year kindly hosted at the Katoen Natie HeadquArters Galleries, Van Aerdtstraat 33, B-2060 Antwerp from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October 2019. This year’s main topic is dedicated to “Explorers, first collectors and traders of textiles from Egypt of the 1st millennium AD”. Participation is of the conference is free.
